NASA has shared new steps for building a permanent base on the Moon. The plan is not one big jump. It is a series of missions that help NASA learn what is needed for long-term life there. At the start, NASA will send hopping drones. These devices can jump and move over rough, dusty areas where walking is hard. After that, NASA will use roving vehicles to travel around and gather more information. Together, the drones and vehicles will test routes, study the ground, and improve how future systems can operate on the Moon. This research is meant to support later plans, including the possibility of humans staying on the lunar surface.
