Young mental health ambassadors say the system needs to do more. In interviews, they shared personal concerns and explained why support can feel too limited or too slow. They want more mental health services, especially for young people.
The ambassadors also discussed a gap between generations. They feel some older people do not fully understand stress, anxiety, or other mental health problems faced by youth today. Because of this, they believe young voices are not heard enough.
They are calling for stronger help in schools and local areas, including more trained professionals and clearer ways to get help. Their message is simple: mental health support should be easier to access, and it should start earlier. The BBC spoke to Catherine Burns for this report.
