Togo has charged two French journalists. They are Gaël Mocaër and Sebastian Perez Pezzani. The country says they had incorrect documents.
A press freedom group says this is not fair. Reporters Without Borders says their detention is not justified. The group also says the punishment is too strong. The journalists were kept in custody while the case moves forward.
The situation has raised concerns about the safety of journalists in Togo.
