In England, more babies are born by emergency C-section. A C-section is an operation to deliver a baby. BBC analysis says about 1 in 4 births now use emergency surgery. This is a big change. It is higher than it was five years ago. Doctors do C-sections when a birth is not going well or when it is too risky to wait. The report shows that emergency C-sections are becoming more common in England.
